Conquering Europe using marketplaces: How HKC Europe does it!

Selling on Amazon Germany turned out to be such a success that we now offer our products on all Amazon marketplaces.

We spoke to Thom Jansen at HKC Europe.

How did HKC Europe start?

“In 2016 we started importing televisions and monitors, and we quickly decided to manufacture our own. In the beginning television prices were a bit higher, but they’ve dropped since then. In order to respond to that, we’ve started manufacturing televisions and LCD screens locally.’

‘At HKC Europe, we mainly distinguish ourselves from the competition with the value for money we offer. We aim to supply high-quality products through constant innovation, by reading customer feedback, and by processing any complaints in the next execution process. As a result, our customers are very satisfied with our products.”

Why did you start selling through marketplaces?

“In 2017 we decided to target consumers directly. Our biggest market at the time was Germany, which is why we decided to start offering our products on Amazon.de.’

‘This turned out to be such a success that we now offer our products on all Amazon marketplaces. We expanded this to other European marketplaces, such as the Francophone Fnac/Darty, Cdiscount, and Conforama. When it comes to the Dutch marketplaces, we sell through bol.com, Blokker, and VidaXL”

One of their competitors was unable to meet our specific needs, but EffectConnect got on it to meet our requirements right away.

Whas has been your experience working with EffectConnect?

“We’re very happy using EffectConnect! EffectConnect’s great support stands out in particular. The support team really knows their software. One of their competitors was unable to meet our specific needs, but EffectConnect went to work for us right away.”
