It is no secret that 2020 was a special year. Where many physical stores had to close their doors, e-commerce entrepreneurs saw their online sales go sky-high. Entrepreneurs who only sold offline were forced to look for new sales channels. In addition to selling through their own webshop, marketplaces often offered new sales opportunities. And let it be te case that we build integrations with a number of new marketplaces this year, so you can now sell your products there as well.

V&D

One of the oldest Dutch department stores online since 2018. As a typical Dutch brand, V&D has a brand awareness of almost 100%. The company focuses mainly on Dutch men and women from the age of 40. They want to respond to the needs of their target group through a personal approach, a familiar name and shopping convenience. Only one partner of each product is allowed, this way internal competition on the platform is prevented. Therefore, there is a closed listing and V&D has to allow you as a partner to the platform. The products on this online marketplace are focused on hobbies (e.g. drawing & painting, photography, music, dancing and pets), travel, health, home & garden, personal care and family (e.g. clothing, toys and games).

FNAC

Fnac is a large French department store and online marketplace that sells electronics, household appliances and books. In addition to France, the company also has stores in Andorra, Belgium, Tunisia, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Morocco, Portugal, Spain and Qatar. Fnac acquired the Darty Group in 2016, which includes other marketplaces such as Vanden Borre. With annual sales averaging €3.9 billion, this is a major player you can’t ignore.
